I've seen how much some of his "Custom thread art" books are selling for.
Does anyone have an Idea how much his
"Advanced Custom Rod Building" book is worth

Their is no problem getting the Advanced Custom Rod Building book it looks like it went to a second printing in 1987 so you should pay no more than cover price of $29.95. The Custom Rod Thread Art had only one printing in 1982 and it was published by Rodcrafters Press.

For what people are asking these days for the Clemens Thread Art book, I'd consider the VisualWrap software program. You can download every pattern from CRTA , and when the patterns are downloaded you can see EXACTLY how a pattern is wrapped...visually, one thread at a time. Plus you have access to other very innovative wraps.

CRTA...$29.95 plus shipping.

VisualWrap is quite a program, really. David gave me a CD to install and try last year and I've poked around with it some. It's impressive.

I have the Visual Wrap program as well and would not part with it for the world!
I also have the first and second additions of Advanced Custom Rod Building and
CRTA also and would pay any price to replace them if I had to!

ACRB = $30 new
CRTA = $60 & up used

Have them both and refer to them often! Would still love to have the Visual Wrap program to complement the other.

People who have questions with Visualwrap, why don't yo ask them? Eitehr right here, or on teh VW site - teh one thing people do not take advantage of with VW is the support given by Dave,he's quick and ALWAYS gets you teh answer you are looking for.

Advanced Custom Rod Building $29.99. Think we have one left wrapped in celophane. It's out of print, maybe worth more someday.

Joe,
I saw the books for trade for a fly tying book, I didn't see anything about a price.
