www.tackleworks.org provides a state by state listing of rod builders and rod repair persons. Somebody there should be close to you and would be happy to wrap those guides.

You can certainly do it yourself, with just a bit of patience. However, if you're only going to do just these two, the cost of buying the thread, finish, etc., could be more than you'd spend to get someone else to do it for you.

Tom brings up a great idea...Get some thread and some finish then go to the library here and search guide wrapping. BEWARE..If you do it yourself, not only will you be awful proud of those rods...but you will now be addicted to this craft like the rest of us. Its a funny thing how wrapping a few guides is like gambling, drinking, and other highly addictive activities...the only difference is a sense of pride and accomplishment. Also, if you do it yourself, set aside a budget of a few hundred bucks since you will soon be ordering the components and blanks to do your first few rods...lol

Hi Eric,

I live in Poynette, Wisconsin and if you want to come down for a day I can easily
teach you to wrap guides. In fact if you brings the rods down with you we can do
them here. If we don't get done with them I'll send you home with enough thread
and equipment to finish them.
The only kink in the program is I'm going to Hawaii from April 27 until may 14th.
However we can do them after the 14th.
Let me know.

John
