Just posted a couple of pics of my rod room. Thanks to who ever posted the idea of using file cabinets and a door to build on. Just set up my (well, OK, OUR) rod building room with that idea (I share the room with my wife's nursing stuff). See that little grinder? That's the best 30 something bucks I ever spent. Grinding wheel on one end, Scotchbrite wheel on the other end, with a flexshaft for Dremel bits, 0-10,000 RPM.
Everything is in this room except my grip turning lathe, it's in the garage. Ain't this a great hobby?!? Now if I can figure out where to put the frig and TV and Lazy Boy... David;
Your rodbuilding area is a lot brighter than mine. I'm down in the cold basement. But, I have a lot of room. Hey, you're not far from me. I'm in Jefferson. Steve Re: Pics of my rod building room

Sorry David,
Failed to say that I liked your set up! Humor got the best of me this morning. If I could make a suggestion. Install some "J" hooks in the ceiling to put your blanks and or completed rods on. That way they are safe from kids, animals, wife ect. and it doesn't take up any wall space like a rack. Great for duel purpose and areas where space is at a premium. Larry, the grinder is just a cheap import, but it's great for guide foot prep. Email me for a link. I'm not associated with the seller in any way, I just think for the money it's a fantastic little tool for our rod building hobby / vocation.
