SAGE TCR and XP

Hello folks,

don't ask me why, but it seems that we have here in France a new addiction for the Sage rods..it used to be Winston a few months ago and now it is SAGE...Maybe I will have to deal with Loomis or Orvis within the next weeks, who knows ?!

I have been asked by three customers to build a SAGE rod, they are all coming back from a trip in the US and they all brought back a SAGE blank with them.

I went on the SAGE website so as to find the standard guide spacing chart because as far as I remember there used to be something like that in their former website but this time I was unable to find it.

I was wondering if anybody has any idea where I can find the guide spacing chart for the following models:
490-4 TCR
590-4 TCR
4100-4 XP

Of course I could use the static guide placement system but I really want to know what SAGE suggests.....

Thanks

Frantz

Sage will answer those questions in a return e-mail. I haven't seen a Sage guide chart since they brought out the TCR blanks.

There still is somwhere on their site were you can enter the model and get the guide spacing for that particular rod, but I can not remember how to find it.

edit: I remember it was buried quite deep somwere on the site.

edit 2: Seems like there is nothing for the TCR, here is the link for the XP: [www2.sageflyfish.com]

I think you'll get better results with static guide placement.
Sage seems to use same spacing for SLT and XP for instance - and I think they are not the same action and thus would not be best with the same spacing.
