What have some of you more experienced builders evolved to for your signiture marker pins? Some of the so called thin pins I have found still create just too thick a line for my touch and coordination. Any thoughts appreciated. Re: Thinnest blank marker pin

Try an artist's pen (the kind you dip into the ink bottle) and use metallic hobby paint instead of ink. The tips (called nibs) come in very thin sizes. Experiment on a scrap or where the handle will go to get the hang of how much ink you need on the nib per dip. Light roughing of the blank with a Scotchbrite pad makes the pen grab better. Gloss epoxy finish (Fleccoat, etc.) hides any scratches and will not make the paint run or bleed. Re: Thinnest blank marker pin

I found a set of gel metallic pens at WalMart with a tip on each end, one fat line and the other a good fine tip. Re: Thinnest blank marker pin

I use a drafting technical pen. You can get down very fine with those. I'm not in front of my pens right now but think I'm using a 3/0 pen for most of my inscriptions.
.......... Better to have and not need than to need and not have. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
