Hi guys
Been looking around for a graphite 12 ' trolling rod for a customer. So far Batson seems to have some thing Any other places I could try ? Thanks Re: Blank suggestions

Yes the salmon steelhead blanks. I saw a post that they make some good trolling and have some lifting power. I find that most are or go up to about 10' I just emailed the gentilman to make sure he wants a 12 Footer. Maybe a heavy fly or Meiser Just thought of some thing. How do you figure lure weight with lead core line ?? Re: Blank suggestions

Can't really figure lure wt....the more line you have out the more it weighs.....sometimes these guys have a couple hundred yards or more out....even with the weight in the line there is still quite a bit of drag preventing the line from getting down as you troll. You have to guess at how deep you really are.
Hard for me to believe people are still using this stuff...you can get a small downrigger set up pretty cheap...or even make your own....IMO a boat anchor w a downrigger clip to hold your line would be superior to using lead core..LOL Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
