I just wanted to take a minute to tell you a story. I got a rather large order, for me, for some Halibut rods. My problem is that I am too lazy or too stupid to build a drum dryer like some of you guys have (one like TK's posted picture). My wife would agree with both maybe more stupid. So I didn't have enough dryer space to get the order out on time. I called Mark at Acid Rods and ordered a couple of Pac Bay's quad dryers and explained the problem I was having. I am sure Mark got Collen to do it but he jumped thru hoops to make sure I got my order as soon as possible. Thanks Collen and Mark. I would like to add I have never, I mean never, had a bad experience with the vendors on this site. I would like to list them but I am afraid I might leave someone out. I feel very lucky, as a rod builder, to have a place to come and know that you are going to get good products and good service. Thank you guys for making my life a little easier. I second those comments big time!
Those who visit this site regularly already know how I feel about Mark & Colleen at @#$%&. I also have done business with REC Components, Neal's Fishing, Angler's Workshop, Dan Craft, Golden Witch, Donart, Siskiyou Aviary, Batson Ent.(thru their dist.'s), either directly or from their @#$%& stores. Although some experience's have been better than others, I have yet to be dissatisfied or have any bad experiences at all with any of them! I have also called or emailed others with questions about a given rod project or their specific products and have always been quite pleased with how I was treated and the speed at which the correspondence was handled. My hats off to the sponsors who help make this site a reality and to Tom Kirkman's policies that weed out possible sponsors who may not be good places to give my business to.
