Fuji Gold Cermet guide

I don't know the proper name for it but the internal ring on a fuji gold cermet has become dettached. How do I re-attach - or is it a goner. I'm a little disappointed these are supposed to be real good guides.

The only time I've had any of the newer "bonded" guide rings "pop" out (PacBay's, AmTak's, Batson's or Fuji's) the frame had been distorted (whacked on something) I've never tried to put them back in place. I used to pop the old style (original Fuji pressed Aluminum Oxides with the separate frame/shock ring and ceramic ring) back in but even then I had to epoxy them back in at the point where the metal band and guide frame meet. I think you may have a "goner" on your hands unless someone else has a trick.

If the frame isn't bent , I would call the vendor you purchased it form and have another one sent along for replacement . Those are far too expencive to have the ring "pop" out . I'm sure some Zap-a-gap will put it back in the frame for a temp fix , but it won't likely last too long . John

I had one pop out last year when I was trying to "tweak" the guide into a more vertical position. I must have bent it while taking it out of the rod holder. I used two pliers (with masking tape on the jaws) worked it back into position, then ran a thin bead of super glue around it. Seems to be holding so far....I've used the rod about a dozen times since.
