Hello;
I just uploaded some pictures of my Tiger Eye rod that I just finished. I got the blank from Black Dog tackle and these pictures just don't do these rods justice. They are really someting else to look at in the sun. The rod is a 6'6" medium action. I stained the handle (Tennessee handle) with Minwax Rosewood then put on the cork sealer. Colored the sllde rings with a dark Ruby colored nail polish then put on nail polish hardner. For the Butt cap I put in a NH Token inlay since they don't use them anymore and it came out a perfect fit. The guides were wrapped with Garnet thread and metallic Dusty Rose trim on either side and a single thread in the middle. The hook keeper was also done the same way with a trim wrap one both sides of the hook keeper feet. Just forwad of the hook keeper I put in a spinner blade inlay and then in front of that a metallic Red/black braid wrap. Now if it would only warm up so I can get out and use it. Just do a search under my name and they will all come up since this is my first picture posting. Warren. Re: Completed Tiger Eye Rod
