I've placed 2 coats of Crystal Coat on a spinning rod blank, the last yesterday at about 11 AM. Can I still write a name on the finish with acrylic paint along with the decal and add the final coat of finish? I guess what I'm asking is can I write with acrylic on the finish before I put the final coat of finish on it?
Thanks Re: signing name

I sign my rods with opaque white drafting ink over a coat of finish. I use a 3M polishing paper to scuff the surface as it keeps the ink from wanting to bead. Hit it with a hair dryer for 15 seconds to ensure that it is totally dry. A little spritz of artists spray fix. Another 15 second shot with the hair dryer and I'm finishing again.
