Does anyone have any idea of where to get the metal track used for building a rod wrapper? I am talking about the track with a groove in it for 1/4 inch bolts. What is it called? where to look
Thanks in advance Jim Ellis Re: wrapper

Hi Jim , try an internet search for McMasters .The're a tool and hardware distributor . Also try a search for WWGrainger , they do the same and may have the extruded aluminum . As Steve mentioned , a scrap yard will also have some different pieces of "track" , but you'll have to do some poking around if they'll let you . Have fun ............. you could always make one out of oak , if I remember you correctly you said you were a cabinet maker . Good luck , John NERBS Got Fish ? Re: wrapper

A couple of the Sponsors carry parts for the Amtak and PacBay power wrappers.
You can order the track sections, thread carrage, and rod stands and have a real nice hand wrapper. It's pretty easy to build a real nice wood rod jig as well. You can find plans here! Raymond Adams Eventually, all things merge, and a river runs through it.. Re: wrapper

We carry the base section for the Forecast wrapper and as far as I know it will work for some of the other wrappers as well . The base is 4' long and cost $19.05 . They are on our website Fishsticks 4u , we are on the sponsor list . Or call 804-966-7577 Robert Re: wrapper

Just checked out FishStiks4-U and the track is $18.67, rod stands $16.00, and the most expensive
thing is the thread carrage and it's $33.56 so, 18.67 + 32.00(2 stands) + 33.56 = $84.23 +shipping! and you will have the sweetest little rod jig. Light and very portable too! A woodin jig is much cheaper to make and they work good to but, sit down in front of both types and see which you like better. I know which one it will be! Jeff, If you know a better deal on a wrapper with similar components let me know please! Raymond Adams Eventually, all things merge, and a river runs through it.. Re: wrapper
