Bailey,
There are two good books that immediately come to mine. One being "Decorative Wraps" by Billy Vivona and the other "Custom Rod Thread Art" by Dale Clemens. The latter book is getting harder and harder to find and usually has a hefty price tag if you can find one. I got mine a couple of years ago. Billy's book is very good and your best bet is to email him directly. Randy.

Bailey
I have not seen the Decorative Wraps book by Billy Vivona so I cannot comment on it . I would like to get one though Billy please Email me. I do have the Custom Thread Art by Dale Clemens I do like it but I would not pay what peple are getting for them now. Flex Coat has a couple of pamphlets that has a few different wraps. Visualwrap a sponser on the left is a PC program where you can make up your own wraps and see what they would look like before you wrap them on a rod or you can down load programs from their libary and I would say most if not all the wraps covered in the clemens book are in the libary.

Definately look into getting the Visual Wrap software. It takes a bit to learn the script
lingo but well worth the effort and cost.
In the interum get the Flex-Coat booklets and Billy's book also.

Try this link too!

I didn't make it to the show, but I just bought Billy's book. Email him and he will give you directions. One of the vendors has Dale Clemens book for $149. That is the cheapest I have seen one in a long time. My wife bought me a new copy for Christmas and I think she paid over two hundred bucks. If you have seen the things and post of Mr. Vivona I am sure his will be of at least equal resource and will stand the test of time as well as Mr. Clemens has.
Keep em packed guys,

Billy's booklet is extremely well done and worth it! Visualwrap is great. Besides allowing you to create your own patterns, it has tons of them including, I think, all of the ones in the Dale Clemons book. There is a learning curve to it though.

Yikes! There are no more copies left, but you can certainly e-mail me and/or ask questions here on the boards and we'll all try to help.

Take a look at the photo page, you'll see plenty of different wrap designs. Normally I recommend CRTA as others have, its' an excellent book but it is currently out of print. Take a look at the visualwrap site, there are a couple of sequences which show you the step by steps on creating a wrap from start to finish.

I can't believe what they are charging for Dales thread art book!!!!???????!!!!!??????
Summer Moon still has the book listed in their catalog for 32.50 (just what I paid for it last summer)!
Now wheather or not they still have it is another story.
Glad I got mine for cheap when I did- and I thought 32.50 was a lot ;^)

Brand New. Not cheap, but less than it's has gone for in past months.
