Does anyone know if all of the G Loomis Cross Current rods are based on their GLX blank?
There is quite a difference in price betwwen their 4pcs. models and their 3 pc.
I also notice only the 4 pc. models have GLX in their model #.
Could the 3pc. rods be based on the IMX blank?

Prices are generally different because of the extra section - more labor. I doubt they would use two different lines of blanks for the same series of rods from the 3 to the 4 piece models.

Ok, here is the scoop it took some snooping but this is what I found out:

crosscurrent 4pc rods are based on the GLX blank
crosscurrent 3pc rods are based on the GL 3 blank thus no "GLX" in the model number.
Seemed to be way to much of a differance in price from 4pc. to 3 pc. Even taking into consideration the extra labor.
