I just returned home from the show and what a wonderful time in Charlotte. Every one was so friendly and helpful. I cannot believe how helpful everyone was. I still think that there should be a warning on this web site that "Rod Building can become additive." All one has to do is stand around and talk to Tom Kirkman, Billy V., Mike Barkley, Andy Dear, Joe Emig, Putter, and Jim Upton (to mention a few) and you will be hooked. Tom you really did a great job. Anyone thinking of going I'm sure will find it everything it's cracked up to be. I even enjoyed the 3400 mile trip by car. Thanks to Batson for the rod my wife won.

It was nice to meet you; my email must have beat you home, then?

It was a great show by any measure. Glad that rod building has at least show like this. I'm tired of the other fishermen having all the fun!

Jim,

All of the people you mentioned have been a big help to me. This site is second to none as helpful to anyone in rod building. I really consider all as friends.

The show still worries me about weather in February but I cnnot believe it was 75 degreess F here in the Mountains of NC. Tom probably had to turn on his air conditioner in High Point. I am heading for Santeetlah tomorrow!
