Rainshadow Blank

Hi There,

I am a realatively new to the rod building thing.

I have built a couple of rods and have another in the pipeline.

My favourite blank so far has been the LoomisDS820s. It seems to be a good match for the style of fishing i do here in Australia. Small plastic jigs 1/16th.

A light weight Bass Rod would be the best way to decribe it.

I have heard a lot of good things about the Rainshadow Blanks and was wondering if some one could recommend a Blank with similar features as the Loomis.

An XFast taper is preferred. 6'10 is a good lenght, but will trim a 7 footer.

Other Brands would be considered too, it is just that we have a limited access to blanks here in Aus and am not too familiar with other makers.

I appreciate your comments.

Cheers
Mike

Michael , good move to want to try the Rainshadow blanks . They also make several 3 pc travel blanks which would really help on shipping . check out our website Fishsticks 4u and we are on the sponsor list . Look at ISP843-3 , 844-3 , IC series ,and the SB series . We sell a lot of them to people who want a good blank, but dont want to pay a lot in shipping . Put Forecast guides on any of them ,and you have something good and did not break the bank . Robert
