I've been asked to rotate guides on a glossy finish rod. 1 st timer. I'm thinking too much heat will get me in trouble. Or should I not agree to this without total refinish ? Opinions please......Thanks. Re: Guide Removal, glossy finish

Hi Richard
I suggest you practice on a scrap rod piece to develop your removal technique. Do you know how to cut the guide threads and unravel them? Joe Kassuba Re: Guide Removal, glossy finish

Joe, yes I've got that down, my concern is the durability of the finish in so far as heating . Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
