Well the Calvert and Crossland coats of arms give you Black, Gold, Red, and White for the University of Maryland. Fear the turtle (not necessarily this year).

Ahh, just saw your mention of blue. The color for Michigan is maize which is much more yellow (as in corn = maize) than gold.

Being from MSU, Stan and I will defer from comments about U of M as it wouldn't be appropriate for this board... LOL!

sorry guys, should have put the I in after the M, when from the north its automatic to just call it U of M. The
yellow I have is Gudebrod lemon yellow witch seem too bright, would Goldenrod or just gold be closer?
Haven"t wrapped with either to see if they darken at all. Well be putting it over a matte black rod.

Steven,
It depends on which U of M. There is the University of Massachusetts, University of Miami, atc. If you mean The University of Michigan ( I once had my tuition check returned because I did not include The in front of University), then you are probably looking at more yellow than gold. A darker yellow the color of Maize is what you are looking for. I would try Sulky and Madeira Threads as well as Gudebrod. Good luck with your project.
