Other than a test wrap, I've just finished the first coat on the 3 largest wraps, hookkeeper, and the logo area (that I put between my split rear grips) with Threadmaster applied with a spatula. I rotated the blank 180 degrees every so often and wicked off the excess, plus I only applied the finish to the edges of wraps. This did take a little longer than I expected to get the finish all the way around the wraps but I have thin even coats.
When I apply the second coat, I assume when I drop the finish onto the wrap, it will "roll" around the wrap much quicker than it did the first time . . . ? After the second coat is on each wrap, I plan to fill the transitiion from the edge of the wrap and the blank - I assume this is a resonsable way to apply the second coat with a spatula? Thanks. I doubt if it will roll quicker but it appears you are on the right track. Stan Grace Helena, MT "Our best is none too good" Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
