What is used to fill in the small nicks and crevasses on the surface of cork grips? If powdered cork is mixed into a paste with some kind of glue/adhesive, what kind is used?

I use to use Dale Clemon's cork glue but can not find it anymore.

I use what I sell at my shop called reel seat paste. I take sanded cork dust and mix it in the paste and then apply it to the cork grips. Then once dry then sand down the build up of the glue and cork dust.

Unless the pits and holes are unusually large, you might be better off just leaving them alone.

Do a search on this board for things like "cork filler" and the like. There are a variety of products builders use with good results to do what you want to do. Some are remarkably easy and effective.

I use Elmer's Carpenter's Exterior Wood Filler. Color is pretty close to that of cork. Put it on with a craft stick or your finger and sand it down after it has dried.

I want to thank everyone for their input. I have tried many of these ideas already.
I guess I need to try to find a rod builder that has some of Dale Clemons Cork adhesive for sale or find a place that has a similar adhesive for cork.
