All-

My fathers B-day is coming up in a few month, and I would like to build a rod for him. I already spoke with him about preferences. My father would like his rod to be built around a patriotic theme.

He would like to have a 7 foot 2 piece spinning blank that is blue, with white and red trim band colors for other..

He fishs in upstate NY for Northern Pike and pickerel with spoons casting. Any suggestion on a blank and guides would be appreciated. I would like to get the blank and guides for 100 if possible..I

would like to use American made products if possible as well.

Thank for the advice and help in advance!

Jeffrey

$ 125 for blank? 3 piece american made. That's as close as I can think of. Will that work?

St Croix 2C70HF2 is black. 1/2 to 1 1/2 oz lure weight. 12 to 25 lb line. American made, If you stay away from the fancy guides you won't miss your limit by much. Maybe $10. Batson or Sevier aluminum oxide guides are a good value.

I checked Batson....I found a Croix for $110, and checked Batson....Bastson doesn't seem to offer the dark blue in spinning blank that I would need.....I'd really like to give him, his first choice but $110 is steep....Let me know if anyone can help, if any resellers read this and you have what I need feel free to shoot me an email jwolfanger@sbcglobal.net.

Thanks,

Jeffrey
