Fuji handle cap

I just received a new fuji handle kit and the but cap does not slide all the way up on the cork. It slides up about a 1/4 inch and the cap is made of a soft rubber. So 3/4 of the cap is empty. I have never seen this . Is there anything special to do to epoxy the cap on?

Dan,

My Son uses a lot of these grip sets and simply places the cork far enough up the blank to accomodate a couple of tape bushings at the rear of the blank to support the cap. It's just like setting up a grip on a saltwater blank with a 2" or 3" cap. If you'd like to contact him, he'd be happy to guide you further. His email address is mike@@#$%& Good luck!

Is there a shoulder on the cork that the cap has butted up against? If not and you have a ways to go to get it there take some sandpaper and evenly take a little cork off till it bottoms out on the shoulder. Usually there will be a little empty space left in the can, like maybe 1/4 inch or so.
