Just Awesome! Thanks to all the attendees and the vendors, it was great meeting new pople and seeing old friends. Tom knocked 'em dead again with the effort put into setup and promotion. I hope all of those who traveled from everywhere had a safe trip back. I'm sure between Tom and several other we'll have some pics up on the photo board soon.
For you guys that are really into weaving and really intracate wraps that didn't make it the NERBS had a super booth displying numerous rods with some incredible thread work. I have to say these were the coolest guys north of the Mason/ Dixon that I have met.

The "Great White Hunter" has spoken. Glad you enjoyed it.

.........

This year, I had "ballots" put out for people to fill out and deposit into a box. The form included just a few questions, such as, "Are you here for the Rod Builders Show?" "Are you a rod builder?" "How did you hear about the Show - Magazine, Website, Direct Mail Card, etc." Thousands of these cards were filled out and although it will take me a bit of time to sort through them and collect the information, I will have some verfiable numbers and facts that will help us with promotion for the 2007 event. I'm guessing we probably did have nearly 1300 to 1500 bonafide rod builders turn out this year, but I'll wait until we get done counting before I report further on that. It'll be a bit of work, but I'll try to get to it later this week.

I agree 100%. Well worth the Coast to Coast trip. Great to put faces with names. What an awesome bunch of people. My Son's been around a lot of similar shows with me over the years and couldn't get over what a NICE bunch of folks were there (watch out Putter, I think he's coming your way to get his truck marbled).

ONE good thing about the Fly Show (besides all the Fly Fishermen that will now be Rod Builders) was that we ran into a Guide from the Bitteroot River in Montana, just six miles from my Son's house. He hired him on the spot to train as a guide. Nice. Build fly rods all winter, then use & sell them all Summer. Tough duty!

Thanks Tom and everyone for a great show. We enjoyed ourselves very much.
