New Website - RM Library Program

Since 2001, the RodMaker Magazine Public Library Outreach Program has created more new rod builders than any other endeavor or undertaking. In that time, nearly 250 libraries have received rod building related literature, mostly in the form of rod building books by a variety of authors. This literature has been provided to these public libraries at no charge. A few that have kept in touch with me, say that these rod building books are high on their list of borrowed material.

I've kept the program low key. Funded primarily by RodMaker Magazine, but with some additional aid of a few individuals willing to help, a lot of work has been accomplished. But now it's time to move into a new and larger phase. Sometime late next week, a new website for the program will be unveiled. It will include a list of the libraries that have received and offer these materials along with "friends" of the program who have provided financial support or donations in the form of rod building literature. There will also be an opportunity for individuals, manufacturers and dealers to get involved, if they wish.

More to come. Stay tuned. The program will definitely continue to further the goal of growing the craft.
