If you want a real surprise, check out the Westin Hotel (601 South College St) with Google Earth.

Tom, are you sure that you want to hold the show there?

By 'there' I meant Charlotte, not the hotel. The surprise is for those of us who intend to stay there. LOL

Jim,

There will be no surprise. The hotel is only a couple years old and in great shape. It's quite a swanky place and you will greatly enjoy staying there.

Tom,

I'm sure that I will enjoy both the Westin and the show. It was a real hoot to look at the hotel with Google Earth and see what obviously was a construction site instead of a fine hotel. The flyover was obviously done several years ago while the construction was underway. I posted the "surprise" as a teaser for those who, like me, used the software to have a look-see. LOL

I've stayed at the Westin twice before and it's very, very nice. Also, it's SO convienent - just walk across the street and you're at the Convention Center. Just go in the side door and keep walking if it's raining. Or you can walk along the street 'til you come to the front entrance and enter there. There will be lots of people and we'll all be waiting in line to get tickets.

For anyone who hasn't been to this Show, you'll be simply overwhelmed and find it's hard to take everything in in the two days.

Jim,

Okay, I get it now. I thought the thing about the Google program was that all their photos were within 3 months old?

Oh well, that "hole" is now filled with a very nice hotel. Very nice.
