I am knew to rod building (I've only done 3 so far), and I would like to build a rod for my son. Does anyone know where I can find a blue ultra light/ or light spinning blank? Because this is a childs rod, I don't want to spend mega-bucks. Also for future reference, does anyone offer "custom colors" or at least a wide range of color choices to choose from? I've been to the CTS Rod Blanks website, but don't know if I'm willing to pay the shipping charges from New Zealand to the U.S.
Thanks in advance for the help. Re: UL/L Blue Rod Blank

Andy Dear carries CTS blanks and he's in Texas. St Croix has some blue blanks too. Re: UL/L Blue Rod Blank

Forecast blanks by Batson Enterprises are a deep blue. They are good blanks and very low priced. Custom Tackle carries them.

Geoff,
I bought a few All Star IM10X blanks that are dark blue in color. In the mix is a light spinning rod 6'6". If you're interested I'll let it go for a good deal since I really didn't want the light blank to begin with. Are you coming to Charlotte? I could bring it there if you like or ship it to ya. drcrwr@yahoo.com DR Re: UL/L Blue Rod Blank
