Clydes Change In Charlotte Travel Plans

When we woke up this morning we discovered that Clyde and family were missing! After panicking, we went outside and checked with the neighbors and found that Clyde was seen at 4:00 am paddling his "Cadilliac Cypress Express" pirogue north in de bayou with all his family on board. We went back inside the cabin and found a short note. Clyde could not take the pressure any longer and decided to make the trip to Charlotte on his own.

Clyde left about twenty postcards on the desk and told us to get a list of names for those unfortunate builders who simply just cannot make it to the Show this year. The Swampland Boyz will have as many builders as possible sign the cards on the Show floor and mail them from Charlotte to the winners. Clyde will release his offspring in the crowd on the Show floor and get as many autographs as possibe.

The first twenty names and addresses received at Swamplandrods@msn.com will receive this "Clyde Special" directly from Charlotte in the mail. Maybe the one that kept you at home may feel guilty and give you a release for next years Big Show!! This card may be just the bargaining tool you need when Show time approaches next year. A sad face and a tear in your eye may just get you that release you need!

Puttter You Make My Heart Sing! How about this - Rick Flair with Clyde's offspring on a leash knocking on Allen Forsdyke's front door with the autographed "Wish You Were Here" card in hand. That would be the equivalent to Publishers Clearing House Sweepstake Award to a rodbuilder.

Bill,

Don't you know it is illegal to hold captive wild animals in NC without a permit! It appears the NC Wildlife Resources Commision will have a booth in the Fly fishing section. I would hate to see Cyde and the gators escorted to the Mecklenburg County Slammer! (or to Asheboro and the NC state zoo)

See you. Sat.

Ed
