Allen,
I would recommend that you use Mineral Spirits (aka Lacquer Thinner) if you still need any clean-up solvent for silicone oil. Silicone Oils are very non-polar, so the best solvents tend to be non-polar hydrocarbons......Heptane, Hexane, etc. work very well on silicone oils because of their low polarity index. Mineral Spirits is a good off the shelf substitute that you can find in home/hardware stores. Water, alcohols, acetone are very poor clean up solvent for silicone oils. mark Re: HELPPPPPPP my wifes screwed up BIG

Not to get you upset but some thing to be careful of, if your wife cleans say the living room with that stuff, it can stay in the air and travel into your finish depending how close your are to it. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
