Simple Spiral with old Curados

When the new Shimano Curados came out, I picked up a bunch of the old green ones. I'm now building some rods that will have the Curados mounted on them. For those of you who have used the Curados, will the old green Curados have trouble with line piling to one side or the other when using the Simple Spiral?

I know that I can get my answer by test casting over some water with a spinnerbait or crank bait tied on, but right now it's 28 degrees, and it may be awhile before I can get to some water to do such a test.

I thought the GReen ones were the new ones. I have one of the real old ones, the Tomato Red's. I haven't used it in about 12 years though, so I am of no direct help.

You won't have any piling, at least my Curado 201s have never done that in all the time I've had them.

The butt guide is on 0 with the simple spiral so I doubt you'll have any piling to one side.

You should have no problems. I use a 200 bsf Curado and a Calcutta 250 and neither have line pile up.

I have two spiral wraps that I use 200s on with no problem. Both these reels are 10 - 12 years old.
