What do you use to enlarge the diameter on a Urethane arbor? Since it's a rubber like compound won't it have a tendency to tear? Should I use a dowel covered with sandpaper to enlarge the hole? Thanks Bill Re: Enlarging Urethane arbors

It really isn't rubber like and abrades rather than tears. Any reamer or reaming method you now use for cork will work well or they can be drilled quite easily with a Flex Coat pilot bit of the proper size. Stan Grace Helena, MT "Our best is none too good" Re: Enlarging Urethane arbors

If you are talking the ones from Flex Coat, you can use reamers on these with no problems. Or you can get the drill sets they have that will keep the holes centered in the arbor, then if needed use a reamer to finish the bore to the size you need for the blank.
