Has any one tried fuji's wrap on palm support? There's a picture of it in Merricks catologue with the plate seats, but I was hoping to see more detail. I'm wondering if location changes from angler to angler.
Thanks Bob Re: wrap on palm support

I have used about a dozen or so on plate seat installations. There are a few anglers that I build for that like their rods built this way. At first I had to do a little planning because the forward portion of the palm support is wrapped first before the plate seat is installed and wrapped. The palm support rear wrap is common to the rear wrap of the plate seat.
The location can be moved around some, but the alignment of the hand and thumb to the reel may feel awkward. All the palm supports I've installed have been installed like this one in this pic.... Email me if you cannot see the pic at link below. Lou [members.cox.net] Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 02/07/2006 08:28PM by Lou Reyna. Re: wrap on palm support

What type of grip is that in the background? I like it. Does the reel sit higher or lower than a normal seat?
