Guides placed on a curved blank?

For those of you who tend to place your guides on the blank irrespective of the spine but on the natural curve or bend in a non-straight blank, do you put them on the concave side which might seem to exacerbate the bend when held in a horizontal plane or do you put them on the convex side which might seem to straighten the blank if that is possible? Or is the mass of the guides so minimal it won't have any affect on it? Just curious. Thanks Re: Guides placed on a curved blank?

Tip and butt high, belly down. Of course, that's both concave and convex depending on how you're viewing it. So let's say that the guides are positioned so that any weight tends to straighten rather than exacerbate the curve. That's the position I usually set up my rods in. In many situations, the small amount of weight you're talking about isn't going to account for much initial blank flex but it will have at least some effect, minimal as it might be.
