Is there anyone that makes a Titanium frame (not coated) stripping guide and tip top with ceramic inserts for fly rods? Re: Titanium/ceramics

Bill : Check out the Am. Tackle titanium guides on the Mud Hole site on your sponsor list. The Titan NIF Fly guides matched up with the NIC Casting guides as stripping guides will work great. Darrell. Re: Titanium/ceramics

Bill,
A single foot spinning guide will work just fine on a fly rod. The regular frame height ones are only a very little higher off the blank than the 'fly' styles, which I think is preferable as far as performance goes anyway. I've used both the AmTac and the Fuji in these and they look great and are incredibly light. Good Luck! Buddy Re: Titanium/ceramics

Fuji makes tops that are titanium framed and SIC insert. I think they make a titanium framed Cerment tip too, but they are out of my budget range. The tiptop is a good place for a titanium frame, because weight there really hurts.
Even the steel framed tops with the ceramic inserts tend to be lighter than the chrome loop tops, particularly for the smaller sized openings. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
