David,
I have a pdf feather inlay tutorial that was given to me by Mike Barkley. Terry Henson made the tutorial and gave Mike permission to give out freely. If it is ok with Mike I will send it to ya......as long as you unhide your email. ;)

I would be glad to sent Terry's tutorial to any one that e-mails me direct. Posting a request here just takes up space and will move down the list fairly quick and be more likely to NOT get seen.

....I.still cant wrap a feather(lol) they aren't long enough!!!....gotta lay 'em down with CP or Permagloss,or both from what I hear, and jam them to a blank in a timely and elegant fashion.(IMHO...I'm a thread guy but love to learn) I like to mx and match on my "learning curve" of feature inlays.

I've previewed Randy "Putter" Parparts DVD on Feather Inlays"...and must say that his visual step by step is not only informative on application, but is also informative on creativity and what can happen to the colors of feathers during the inlay process, along with pitfalls you ould run into. His DVD's on inlays, will be available in Charlotte., along with DVD's on Marbaliing, Waterslide decal application, Thread Inlays, and Braid and Crosswraps. You just can't go wrong with a visual explanation of the "step by steps" of some of the various rodbuilding "Arts".

Hello...

I am building a Fly rod for my father and have been looking for information on feather inlays... could you please send me the tutorial if it would be okay.

I am also building a Spey rod(for myself) that this would add a nice touch to.

Thank you and very best regards,

Jonathan Busse
