Other loding for the BIG show?

I know the Westin is beautiful and has a special rate going and is right across the street from the BIG show, but just out of curiousity has anyone else found good rates at any other hotel-motel within walking distance of the show? By walking distance I mean maybe 10 to 12 blocks. Hate to walk much further with an armload of blanks!

There are several other places nearby although I can't say what the rates might be. On the official show website (link to upper left in the sponsor column) you can find the green box on the home page. In that box there is a direct link to a listing of all the hotels and motels in Charlotte.

There is a nice Holiday Inn just up from the convention center (about 5 or 6 blocks away), and a Day's Inn (very inexpensive) a little further north on N. Tryon Street. It's about 15 blocks away, however.

We stayed at a Best Western a few miles down the freeweay last year on Thur. I think it was about $68.00 a night...not bad, and clean as well. My wife approved, so it couldn't be that abd!

The Hilton "Garden" had rooms starting in the $80's last week and looked to be only 5-6 blocks away on the map.

The Show rates at the Westin are under $100, with tax. and split between two would be pretty good price. There is an ad in the Swap & Sell at the top of the page from Al Ciner who has a room and is looking for a room mate to share cost.
Jonathon, the address in your profile is invalid!!!!

Rooms at the Westin should be about $90 plus tax (under $100 as Mike said). But there are many hotels within walking distance of the center. Again, check the hotel locator link on the show website.
