Hard Time Logging Into RBO

Tom,

The last several weeks I have been having problems logging into this website. All I get is that its unavailable. Mostly this occures around midnight (PST) or later.

Is anyone else having this problem? Is the site down late at night for service?

Thank you,

Rich Matranga
Folsom, California

No, just busy. And sometimes if your own ISP is seeing having a lot of traffic it can send that sort of message.

Generally if this site is down for service, you just get nothing - no message, nothing. You just see the little spinning ball or the progress bar that doesn't advance.

Tom K - For what it's worth - In the last week, I have had numerous occasions, up to several times each day, when "Waiting for RBO" was my Status, and then after ~ 2 minutes, getting a "Timed Out" Message. No probelm with my Server - I could immediately go to another website and instantly (5-15 seconds with my "slow as molasses" dial-up connection-modem) hook right up to other non-RBO websites. This problem has occurred at all hours of the day and night. At first I thought it was traffic related as well, but it has occured just as often at 3AM-EST as at 3PM-EST. So, traffic is not a required condition for failure to log-on. When present, the inability to log-on seemed to persist for at least 10 minutes at a time., if not an hour. I have finally learned to just move on and do something else. (LOL!) Once within RBO, the speed of moving from page to page does not seem to be unusually slow. Thank God. ... Well, that's my report. ... Like I says, I'm not complaining, just reporting the pattern of difficulty, in case that helps facilitate a resolution. -Cliff Hall+++ P.S. - Thanks, Tom K. -CMH

Oh certainly, when you get the old "timed out" message it can be due to traffic at which point the server/bandwith is at capacity. But it may also happen because I have about 10 websites on that same server and they get traffic too. Of course this site gets enough traffic that it really needs its own dedicated server. Just can't afford it at the moment, but it's on the "to do" list.

Tom - Woops, I forgot that the other websites that share the Server with RBO could have a pattern of usage that DOES have a lot of traffic when you (I) would think that RBO should be "quiet" if not "empty". -Cliff Hall+++

I have also had problems logging in.Maybe it is just the great state of California that will not allow us into the website.

I've had the same problems, does the photo section rob any "power" from the site? Seems that it would occupy a lot of memory.
