After finishing guides, I save the piece of aluminum foil to use for mixing up rod bond on future builds. The cured finish makes a nice smooth, hard surface and gets a little more mileage out of what is only going to eventually be pitched into the trash.
Probably wouldn't work as well for the more viscous epoxies ....... Re: mixing glue

I found that the little clear plastic cups that you can usually find in a liquor store or supermarket, sold as "Jello-shot' cups are great for mixing small quantities of glue. Hold about 1.5 oz, and sold by 50's or 100's, they're a few pennies each, and one has no compunctions about throwing them out after one use. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
