identify fly rod

I have access to what looks like an 'old' split bamboo rod. It is in a wooden case with an extra tip. The only mark is the word "Recreation" written on the rod near the handle.

Sounds like the Japanese rods the were made by the millions after WWII. They came in a wood case and had 2 tips. Worth about $75 - $100 in mint condition on todays market. Re: identify fly rod

it might be one of the japanese "occupation" rods made in japan after the war. they sometimes came in wooden cases. generally not worth much.
most american rods came in tubes not wooden cases but there may have been some american rods that came that way. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
