Anybody have a source for reasonably priced aluminum rod tubes? I can't justify speing $40 rod a rod case... Thanks for the help.

Rec has some on their "web specials" page. Around $20 or less!!

They are a sponsor too!!!

The REC specials tubes are silkscreened with manufacture information, and some of the caps are engraved with rod specs.
I should have elaborated. The tubes that I got were labeled "Reddington" and some caps were for spey rods. This is not an issue if the tubes are for you, or, you can trim the label off if for someone else.

No question, they are great tubes, but they do cost some if you can't work with the specials.

Another vote for REC. Tubes. The only problem that I had is don't leave them in the sun for too long. The Aluminum tube acts like a heat sink. Your rod will be very warm if let in the tube in the direct sunlight . Bill.

REC will be in Charlotte next month at the National Rod Builders Show. I don't know what they plan to bring with them in regard to tubes, but I feel sure they'll have some there.

Also others like Binghams carry the Landmark tubes, not as much variety, but a good value.
