Where can I find recessed hood with single slip-ring hardware? This would be for 1-3 wt flyrods with cork seats. I've done the double-ring thing and want a slightly different look. Some vendors do offer hardware for their regular seats without the inserts, but the ones I've found generally seem only slightly less expensive than the whole package.

Have you tried struble? Les Freiberg at inserts by Les? Golden Witch and Bellinger, they might have something. Even though they might not show exactly what you want they maybe can do it for you. Re: Recessed hood and slip ring

jeff, are you talking about what's typically called "cap and ring" hardware? cortland offers something for you i'd think and you could even ask ron cilli at landmark rod tubes. so does struble and golden witch and i'm sure bellinger could sell you something but those might be the expensive ones you implied. for something a bit different, go to rush river rods [pages.prodigy.net] or jimbureau.com . sorry for deviaing from the board's sponsors, but they offer options some might find very interesting.

Like David, I've gotten skeleton sets like this from Custom Tackle. On a couple of occasions, Bob has helped me by mixing and matching parts from different seat models. Re: Recessed hood and slip ring

To follow up, Cortland has just the thing, although Custom Tackle also has some useful parts. Thanks for the suggestions.
