I'm having a bit of a finish problem. I'm getting dust & cat hair attached to the epoxy. Guess I'll need to build up some sort of finishing box. In the mean time, how much and what type of sanding can be done to the epoxy finish or do I just take it all off and do it again....?
Thanks again, Jim Re: Finish problem/question

You can sand it all you want, until you get into the thread itself.

In future use a spatula to aplly the epoxy not the cat its cheaper in the long run !!!!
only joking Keep the cat out of your building room and have a good hoover up make sure the door has a "dust seal" on it if you cant then a box is going to be the only way to go Re: Finish problem/question

I have made a screen on a hinge on my back wall of my bench that comes down over the rod as it's turning in my dryer. I cut down an old screen door window frame to size and put it back together using tack cloth in place of the screen.
The dust and cat hair (that wouldn't happen around my house; no cats allowed for 30 years) settle from above as long as there are no strong air currents. I still lay another tack cloth over the front of the screen on down to the rod bench surface. Grandchildren running by can still stir up the dust on me! :) Putter Williston, ND Re: Finish problem/question

You can also get an old spray bottle fill it with water and give the place a good spray before you finish. helps to hold down and dust, or cat hair. maybe you make him an out door cat ??? Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
