Weaving tools

I'm thinking of doing a small weave on my next rod. Could somebody direct me to a source for the right tools? For example: it seems to me I've seen a small tool that slides onto the blank and which keeps the longtitudinal threads both captured and aligned. However for the life of me I can't remember where I saw it (possibly a link on the left or maybe somebody posting a picture in the Photo section). I'm not looking to do a full butt wrap (a la VisualWrap type) as I'll be doing a lighter weight fly rod. Any pointers as to where/how to start or experiences/hints with doing small weaves would also be appreciated.
Thanks
Steve

Steven: Perhaps you are thinking of a weaving jig. I use one sold by a gentleman from San Diego and it is the only "Tool" you'll need, other than maybe a pick of some kind. John

I'm not sure where to get one, but if you email Doc Ski, I'll bet he could steer you to someone.

Mud Hole sells several types and they are a sponsor of this site. Try to support those who support this site, if possible.

Some of the other sponsors also offer various weaving jigs and looms.

Tom,
Thanks for the pointer. I did in fact check at Mud Hole but I surfed to the wrong section. This time I did a search and found the right spot.
