What I should have realized -
Man those are small particles! When I sand woodwork projects I try to work outside and wear a mask . So there was mistake #1 (but I was clever enough to put the mask on). The glue is the heart of this project and glues have "issues" with cold. So at 34 degrees outside and 70 degrees inside it looked like a straight forward choice - but it really didn't occur to me -
What I should have done -
Although it really should have occurred to me, since I had the mask on, that there was gonna be some serious dust. The plastic bag in the box trick that I rigged up wasn't going to work all that well - really have to consider DEPTH of the box. Then there's geometry to consider (which I didn't but really should have) - Yes sir-ree had I shot this stuff DOWN into a deep container instead of at a more oblique angle the cachment that I rigged up sure would have worked better. and the bench wouldn't have had that fine black dust all over, nor would the reflected/refracted light from the (previously) white walls be a bit 'greyer' .

Thanks are now due to Bill Stevens for the photo of a much better cachment device and the shortened version of the Flocking Workshop tips & tricks ... and the "come on" he sent me about low pressure spraying and the promise of showing an electrostatic process (which I think should be the best & may even allow larger particles) Anyone who is thinking about trying this NEEDS to be at the workshop in Charlotte.
