Stain on handles

I've built a couple handles with the burnt cork from mudhole. I'd like to put a sheen on it. What should I use?

Tru Oil works great on any handle. I use my finger to wipe thin coats onto it. Add as many coats as you want until you get the effect that you want. Looks good!

Where do you get Tru Oil? I went looking for it at a woodworking shop, but they hadn't even heard of it.

Also, does it have colors or tints? Or is it just a clear coat?

It's a gun stock finish. Just about any store that sells hunting/fishing stuff will have it. Even Wal Mart carries it it. Great stuff! A LOT of builders use it as a grip finish/cork sealer. I use it on every one I build.

Birchwood/Casey Tru-Oil is what you'll find on the bottle.

I use it on bamboo rods, never tried it on graphite but don't think it would work to well as it is a wood finish, but who knows. The only way to find out is try it.

It is in a red/white/blue bottle. WalMart has it. You'll find it in with the bluing/cleaning supplies of just about any sporting goods section.

I have stained some Mudhole cork and then applied Tru-oil over that. For graphite blanks use the fast dry poly (but why?).
