There was a post earlier, which has since been removed, saying that it was rumoured that Sage were about to stop selling blanks to concentrate on finished rods.Does anyone know if there is any truth in it?

Sage blanks are still available. Not all those used in all rod models are available as blanks but most are. We will have the new gear (non-fly) blanks in stock in a week or so.
The following models are available as blanks:
