I'm looking for the guides that come attached to the bottom of the spool tray. They allow the spool tray to slide along in front of the blank. Does anyone know where to get these? I checked Pac Bay but did not see any. I'm looking to make a tool rest for turning/sanding cork handles. Re: Pac Bay Power Wrapper Parts

I'm willing to bet the wheels used by Angler's Workshops Custom Power Wrapper are the same stuff. They carry all the parts to keep their wrapper together. They also make a tool rest that just might also work for you. Re: Pac Bay Power Wrapper Parts

That tray piece may not be strong enough for a tool rest as is. I took mine and filled the bottom with the "Liquid Steel Epoxy Paste" to strengthen it up and increase the weight. The weight increase also keeps the thing from "jumping" when using the modified thread spool tensioner for underwraps at high speed with a lot of tension. I do not do any tool type cutting and turning on my Pac Bay wrapper so take this for what it is worth.

The Angler's tool rest I mentioned only because the aluminum extrusions for both machine look very similar. The CPW may be slightly thicker material from just eyeballing it. Wouldn't think you would need or want a tool rest on rollers, lathes don't have them. Re: Pac Bay Power Wrapper Parts

I too have a pac bay Power Wrapper--I think Leon, those roller guides for the thread winding carriage are the same ones that are used on the rod rollers wheels--just with the oring removed. Take one off of your Power wrapper rollers, remove the oring and bolt it onto the bottom of your thread carriage, and see if it works--if it does, you can buy the rollers from any one who handles Pac bay Wrappers--such as Mudhole. I think this may solve your problem.... Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
