Hello

H & H guides are very good, but they do not supply the options
that Fuji has. A long list of ceramics. etc. Sage uses H & H on their
rods. Hopkins & Halloway are preground and from England.

Fuji does own H & H, but their production is still in England I believe. I think the are on the Anglers Resource/Fuji site to the left. I like their guide's looks and performance , but the strippers are a little heavier due to the longer guide feet etc. on their design. The tall frame single foot wire guides only take very short wraps to put them on as the feet are shorter than most.

I have used hopkins quite a bit. They are a great classic looking guide. The chrome is awsome and they are preground.

Does being preground mean no further prepping is required? Sorry for popping in on this thread...

I've had to lightly touch up a few, but it's less work to do than some others I've used. They make the tips of the guide foot a lot sharper (needlelike) than I do when I grind guide feet.

I have not had a problem with H & H guides and the fact that they are preground. To me, it is a convience and they are classy looking. They are needlelike. Did not know that Fuji owns H & H.
