Marbleizing Reelseat

I remember reading about how to marble a reelseat. I wanted to give it a try, but I didn't come up with anything on searching the site. Was it in Rodmaker? Mine are in storage right now. Anyone got the how-to's of marbleizing a reelseat?

Thanks 'n stuuph.

Aaron,
Your email address is hidden.
There are a few builders here that are quite good with Marbling and they may wish
to email you directly instead of posting here. I am still practicing myself. Cant help much yet

Aaron,

I do reelseats the same way that I do anything else except that I don't do the part where the reel foot goes against the seat (it can be covered with masking tape but make sure to remove before it sets up) as it can affect the fit of the reel foot into the seat

Not sure why my e-mail is hidden (how do I un-hide it?), but here it is if anyone wants to send something along: aaron@fishinfreaks.com

Mike, if you do masking tape on the flat area for the reel foot, how long do you leave the tape on? Do you remove it as soon as you get the epoxy on? Or do you let it set a little so it doesn't run?

Aaron,

I put a piece of tape where I don't want it but remove it shortly after I marble it (I just leave it long enough that the epoxy doesn't spread into the foot area). I usually just stick the seat on a dowel in my dryer to do it.
