Does anyone know of a good retail dealer that stocks a good supply of rod building supplies in the Ventura, Los Angeles, Orange countys here in California. I would much rather trade with a shop than with a mail order source.

Thanks

Can't really help you there but I would like to say that probably 95% of all rod building supplies are purchased by catalog or on line. It would be very difficult for any local shop to have enough of a market to justify the expense of stocking even the minimal amount of supplies for rod building, let alone the huge variety of brands/components, etc that are available to the builder. Even mail order, most have to use more than one supplier as even the biggest cannot possibly carry all brands. models, styles, etc.

Unless you are living close enough to one of the suppliers on the left to go to their place of business, mail order is probably uour only option.

There was a small rod repair and tackle shop in the city of Van Nuys in the San Fernando Valley , L.A. county. 20yrs ago I used to buy
blanks, guides, and all the rest of the matierals needed for building rods. I can't remember the name but it was located on Burbank Bl.
between Van Nuys Bl. and Hazeltine Ave.
Maybe still there, maybe not? Try a Van Nuys 95343 phone book?
