Do a search here (above) for "Spiral Wrap" - more information than you can imagine!

Aaron,
If you will do a search here on spiral wrap you will find a great deal of information. The spiral or acid or Robert's wrap has been discussed numerous times. There are also detailed explanations and directions in past issues of RodMaker magazine.

Ken,
I am glad to see you back posting. You must have missed the post that I suggested that you were back building rods because the hair had grown back on your dog's tail so that you again had something to apply epoxy with.

The dog had plenty of time "recovering" while I was away last time. Of course I missed almost all the warm weather too and my garage has a roll of pre-peg lying dusty in the corner that I never got to to play with. Now I'll likely have to wait until spring or expand the shop (again) soooo many "toys so little time" . I just dug out my old(er) bamboo planing form - since the culms have been drying untouched in the attic all summer and appear ready for splitting that will have to suffice for "wintertime experiments" plus the show season is almost upon us. Any chance of a guest appearance by you in Charlotte?

There is a really good article in Rod Maker Magazine on the Acid wrap or the spiral warp. Volume 8 Issue 2 page 16
