Driving to Rodbuilders Show

I currently live in the Boston, MA area and am planning to fly to the Rod Builders show in Charlotte. I was thinking about driving so it would be easier to transport any purchases that I may make. If anyone is interested in sharing the cost of fuel and driving duty and live in the New England area please let me know.

Thanks,

Tony

Tony,

Why not post this on the buy/sell page under the Wanted heading so it will stay up longer. I can just about guarantee you that someone will take you up on your offer. Plenty of guys come in from the New England area.

I have one suggestion that may help. Your plans are headed in the right direction and you might as well go all the way - RENT A TRUCK!

Guys do need to plan for those larger purchases such as one-piece blanks. It costs a ton to ship those long blanks, but if you notify your dealer what you want and have them bring it to the show, you can drive them back home and save that $50 to $100 shipping charge and spend it on a few more items.

Think ahead and make the most of the show. Most vendors are happy to bring orders to the show for you.

As I did last year - for anyone from my area who goes to Charlotte I'll transport their purchases back to my house in Maryland.

Tony....I gladly offer you a ride down to Charlotte, but I'm already full up.

If anyone from the New England area is interested in picking up some of the longer one peice blanks in Charlote, I'd be willing to throw some on the roof rack for the trip back to central MA. Just let me know via email...you can drop the blanks off at the NorthEast Rodbuilders booth.

Myles,
I'd be happy as a cane toad among the blow flies to drop off anything at ur mum's. As I'm not that familiar with the big smoke can you give me directions from "The Rocks" -- or better yet Bondai beach? Best make 'em simple tho, mate --- eye strain an all that ya know
